3 injured in rollover crash on Kelly Drive in East Falls

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- Three people are hospitalized after a violent rollover crash on Kelly Drive in Philadelphia's East Falls section.

The accident happened around 1 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lanes of Kelly Drive.

Police say the driver lost control and crossed into the westbound lanes.

The car hit a tree and rolled over, striking two parked cars.

Police and firefighters converged on the scene.

Two of the three people in the flipped car were trapped and had to be extricated.

All three - the driver and two passengers - were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

Investigators were working to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
