At least five people were injured after a SEPTA trolley and an SUV collided in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- At least five people were injured after a SEPTA trolley and an SUV collided in North Philadelphia.

The collision occurred just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday at 9th Street and Girard Avenue.

Officials say a SEPTA Route 15 trolley was traveling westbound on 9th Street when it collided with a car.

It is believed two of the injured were in the trolley. They are expected to be OK.

Three in the SUV were also injured. Their conditions have not been released.

All were taken to Jefferson University Hospital.
