A driver was injured after crashing into a retaining wall in Northeast Philadelphia.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A driver was injured after crashing into a retaining wall in Northeast Philadelphia.

The accident happened after 12:30 a.m. Friday on the 8900 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

Police say the driver lost control, striking a utility pole before hitting the wall in front of a house.

The driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Licenses and Inspections arrived to check the safety of the structure.

No word on why the driver lost control.
