Male Leadership Award

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Phillies are taking a stand against domestic violence.

They teamed up with the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence for a new campaign, and Tuesday, the first ever Male Leadership Award was handed out.

Temple Police captain Joe Garcia was chosen for being a local leader who has made a personal commitment in putting an end to gender violence.

The Phillies will air new public service announcements featuring players and coaches saying NO MORE to domestic violence and sexual assault.
