Suspicious substance found at Southwest Philadelphia home

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Hazmat, police and fire crews are investigating a suspicious substance found at a home in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police were called around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 700 block of Wheeler Street after a residence reported receiving a suspicious package.

The package contained a white substance, and was found in the mail.

As a formality, police brought in officers from their counter-terrorism unit to investigate.

No injuries and evacuations were reported.
