PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Transportation Security Administration wants travelers that Friday is expected to be one the busiest days of the year at Philadelphia International Airport.

That's because the thousands of people in town for the Democratic National Convention will be heading home.

If you're travelling Friday, the TSA said the best way to ensure a quick trip is to "prepare, prepare, prepare."

They recommend:

-Arriving two hours in advance of a domestic flight

-Make sure you do not have any prohibited items in your carry-on bag

-Follow the '3-1-1' regulation when carrying toiletries on board (up to 3.4 ounces in a 1-quart plastic bag and only one bag per person).

-Wear easy-to-remove shoes

-Empty your pockets before getting in security checkpoint line

The TSA says its Contact Center is available to answer questions by phone at 1-866-289-9673. Staff is available from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends/holidays, and an automated service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
