Man shot, critically wounded in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A man is in critical condition after being shot in Wilmington, Delaware.

Police say the 24-year-old victim was walking up to his front door on the 400 block of West 23rd Street at 10:45 p.m. Sunday.

That's when he heard two gunshots and realized he had been hit in the head.

The man was taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

Police are working to determine who shot the man and why.
