Gunfire leaves man wounded in West Oak Lane

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- Police say a gunman shot a 47-year-old man while he was walking in the city's West Oak Lane section.

It happened at 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of Chelten Avenue.

The victim was able to run to the 6300 block of Norwood Street, where officers found him and took him to an area hospital.

He was listed in serious but stable condition.

A search is underway for the gunman.
