Faizan Patel and his new wife Sana got married back in December, and Sana had planned a two-week trip to Italy.

But just two days before they were supposed to leave, she experienced a moment that could make any world traveler panic: she realized she'd lost her passport.
Faizan went on the trip anyway.
On Monday, he tweeted a photo of himself with a picture of Sana over an empty seat, and for a while they thought that tweet had saved the day.
India's Minister of External Affairs saw it, and took steps to get a duplicate passport to Sana.
But Faizan says Sana also needed a visa for the trip. Now he's working against time to get that before the honeymoon is over.
Thanks to @SushmaSwaraj, the passport is almost issued. Now the problem is the next available date at the VFS is on Thursday.— Faizan Patel (@faizanpatel) August 9, 2016
Minister par excellence @SushmaSwarajBJP I am glad we have you. You're a beacon of hope.— Faizan Patel (@faizanpatel) August 9, 2016

My wife Sana has received her passport. However she is not able to get an appointment at the VFS Delhi office.— Faizan Patel (@faizanpatel) August 9, 2016
So my wife got a fresh passport issued today, that too within 2 hours. Also scheduled an appointment with VFS Delhi. 1/2— Faizan Patel (@faizanpatel) August 9, 2016
Off to Florence. Sana applied for her visa application today at the VFS. Hoping she gets her visa from the embassy. pic.twitter.com/f1SmtoLPjW— Faizan Patel (@faizanpatel) August 10, 2016
