A woman and a teen girl jumped from a window to escape flames inside a home in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane neighborhood.

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- A woman and a teen girl jumped from a window to escape flames inside a home in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane neighborhood.

The fire started round 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 7800 block of Michener Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to flames shooting from the upper floor of the home.

They quickly went to work to get the fire under control within fifteen minutes.

A woman in her 30s, and a 17-year-old girl were found on the ground in the rear of the home, after jumping from a second floor window.

The woman suffered a head and leg injury.

The teen suffered from smoke inhalation and a broken leg.

Both victims were taken to Einstein Medical Center for treatment.

No word on what caused the blaze.
