CHESTER, Pa. -- Police continue to search for the person who killed a 14-year-old boy from Chester, Pennsylvania.

Saturday, May 21, was a typical night for cousins Quamar and Zenas Powell.

At about 8 p.m., the pair had gone to Mohammed's Market at 10th and Pine in Chester for some food.

"Three males then came out and started shooting at a car with another occupant, and we believe these children were caught in the crossfire," said Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan.

Fourteen-year-old Zenas was killed. Sixteen-year-old Quamar and a third victim were injured.

"It's horrible, it's horrible when you send your kids out to play and you think that child may never come home. From all accounts, these children were innocent bystanders, just at the wrong place at the wrong time," said Whelan.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $15,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 215-546-TIPS.

"We did receive some information that was helpful, which is always great. However, we are still at a loss to be able to identify the perpetrator of this crime," said Whelan.
