Spiffing up revolutionary heroes

INDEPENDENCE HALL (WPVI) -- Two of Philadelphia's historic statues are being polished to restore and protect their metal surfaces.

Park staff used special preservation techniques to clean and wax the George Washington and Commodore John Barry statues around Independence Hall.

The work they did Wednesday will keep the statues looking like new.
