Homeowner shot during home invasion in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A 28-year-old man was shot during a home invasion robbery in Wilmington, Delaware.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. Thursday on the 400 block of West 25th Street.

Police say the victim tried to fight off three armed intruders, and ended up getting shot.

He was rushed to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

The suspects then fled in a dark colored Chrysler 300.

It is unclear if anything was stolen from the home.

Police are looking for the the bandits.
