Large grant for green space

PHILADELPHIA CITY HALL (WPVI) -- Philadelphia's community parks and trails are getting a boost from PECO.

Thursday at City Hall the agency gave out 30 thousand dollars in grants to Five non-profit organizations, including the Fairmount Park Conservancy.

It received money for its project to connect Strawberry Mansion residents to the Schuylkill River.

Another group, Urban Creators, will use its grant to establish a network of 8 community gardens in North Philadelphia.
