Wind causes damage throughout the area
Strong winds cause damage throughout the Philadelphia area.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Strong, gusting winds moved into the region early Monday morning causing some damage and scattered power outages.

In West Bradford Township, Chester County a large tree came down before 4 a.m., damaging a home in the 1200 block of Cranberry Lane.

February 13, 2017: In the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, police blocked off Bells Mill Road at Lykens Lane after a tree fell on a truck, bringing down electrical lines.

Fire officials say all the occupants made it out safely.

In Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, a tree fell into the intersection of Ashbourne Road and New Second Street at around 4 a.m.

It happened around 4 a.m.

No one was hurt, but the intersection was blocked as crews worked to remove the tree.

In Lower Merion Township, downed wires forced police to shut down Wynnewood Road at City Avenue around 6 a.m.

And a toppled tree closed Green Valley Road near Conshohocken State Road.

In the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, police blocked off Bells Mill Road at Lykens Lane after a tree fell on the cab of a truck, branches ensnaring wires on the way down.

The winds also caused trouble down the shore in Ocean City.

The wind caused problems for people on the coast.
