A western Pennsylvania man accuses his fiance of lying about having cancer and scamming him out of $40,000.

A western Pennsylvania man accuses his fiance of lying about having cancer and scamming him out of $40,000.

Thirty-one-year-old Michelle Zipp is charged with theft by deception.

The Bedford County District Attorney says the victim secured loans and made payments to Zipp to help pay for what she claimed were necessary surgeries.

Zipp is also accused of deceiving her fiance into believing he was communicating with her nurses through text messages.
