Bus destroyed by fire on Schuylkill Expressway

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- A bus was destroyed by fire on the Schuylkill Expressway on Thursday afternoon.

The fire happened in the westbound lanes around 4 p.m. near Montgomery Drive.

The driver was the only person who was on the bus. That person was not injured.

There was no immediate word on what caused the fire.

Traffic was delayed in the area while firefighters extinguished the blaze.
