A 13-year-old Texas girl fought off two men who allegedly abducted her in her own driveway Monday afternoon, an experience she says has left her terrified.

Malasia said she was getting the mail around 5 p.m. when a black Honda with tinted windows approached her.

She said there were two men in the car, and one of them asked her if she knew where someone lived. She turned away, and that's when one of the men grabbed her and threw her in the back of the car.

Her mother, Deanna Adegite, noticed that the girl was missing and called her phone before contacting her friends. But she still couldn't find her daughter.

"I said, this is not (like) Malasia," Adegite said.

Adegite's phone eventually rang, and it was Malasia calling from a nearby Shell gas station.

"She was like, 'Momma, they took me. They took me,'" Adegite said.

Malasia said the ordeal lasted a terrifying 15 minutes, and that after she was thrown into the car, the passenger grabbed her and ripped the shirt she was wearing underneath her jacket.

She said they didn't talk to her while she was in the car, but when they stopped in a neighborhood, she was able to get out of the vehicle and run away.

"She said they were grabbing on her, and when she finally got where she could just get her mind right, she got out of the car and was just running," Adegite said. "She ran and ran. She said she kept running and didn't even want to look back."

Adegite fears the suspects could strike again if they are not caught. Malasia did not get a good look at the suspects, saying their faces were covered and they were wearing all black.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating, looking to see if there's any surveillance video that might have captured the vehicle or the incident. They have also increased patrols in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
