COLLINS PARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A man is being praised for saving his neighbor by pulling him out of his burning home in Delaware.

Firefighters were called out to the 100 block of Rodney Drive in Collins Park, New Castle County just before 11 p.m. Sunday.

Neighbor Sal Ruiz says he saw the flames, and told his wife to call 911.

He then ran to help the person trapped inside.

"He was sitting on the couch, so we were yelling from the door 'Drop down and roll to the other side of the wall!' He did that, and after that he raised his hand. We saw it and went inside and pulled him out of the house," said Ruiz.

The victim was unconscious, but medics revived him and rushed him to the hospital.

We are waiting for word on his condition.
