Man charged in rooftop burglaries worth $100K

A Chester County man has been charged in a series of sophisticated rooftop burglaries throughout Montgomery County.

Forty-four-year-old Jose Vanegas is facing a number of charges in connection to five break-ins from February 6th to March 5th.

Prosecutors say the Malvern man and a juvenile accomplice broke into stores and businesses through skylights, drain pipes, and duct works.

Vanegas allegedly got away with more than $100,000 in cash and jewelry.

His bail has been set at $99,000.
