National Day of Prayer

MEDIA,Pa. (WPVI) -- The first Thursday in the month of May is the annual observance, designated by congress, as the national Day of Prayer.

All americans are encouraged to pray for the well-being of others, and our country, and that's what they were doing in Media, Delaware county.

Residents, along with community and religious leaders, gathered here in Rose Tree Park to collectively pray for peace and prosperity.

The event was organized by the Delaware county, national day of prayer task force.
