1 dead, 1 injured after shooting in Berks County

MUHLENBERG, Pa. (WPVI) -- One person is dead following a double shooting in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday on the 1000 block of Jean Avenue.

A second victim is in the hospital. There is no immediate word on that person's condition.

Authorities say the suspect turned himself in.

One neighbor said he saw a man in the street with a shotgun shortly after the shots were fired.

Police have not released the details of the investigation or the names of the people involved.
