Driver hurt in rollover crash in Gloucester City, N.J.

GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- A rollover crash near the Walt Whitman Bridge in Gloucester City, N.J. sent a motorist to the hospital.

It happened at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on Collings Road near Essex Street.

Police tell Action News the driver of an SUV lost control.

The vehicle ended up on its side, and the driver was trapped inside.

First responders were able to extricate that person, who was taken to an area hospital.

Neither the nature nor extent of injuries were immediately clear.

Police were working to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
