Dad Vail Regatta, Spruce Street Harbor Park highlight weekend's top events. Plus Tony Bennett and Metallica are in concert.

Rowers take over the Schuylkill

The largest collegiate regatta in North America takes over Kelly Drive this weekend. The Dad Vail Regatta draws thousands of rowers from more than 100 colleges and universities to the Schuylkill River. Races are scheduled throughout the day Friday and Saturday.

Spruce Street Harbor Park open for business

Spruce Street Harbor Park opens Friday. You can lounge on the colorful hammocks, while enjoying craft beer and food from popular restaurants. An opening weekend celebration features activities and live music and performances. The park at Penn's Landing opens 11 a.m. Friday.

Rock out with Metallica

Metallica brings the Worldwired tour to Philadelphia. The legendary heavy metal band will rock Lincoln Financial Field Friday night.

Tony Bennett is going strong at 90 years old. The renowned singer will be serenading audiences at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Saturday night and the Caesars Atlantic City Sunday night.

The lights are on at Franklin Square

The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is now open to the public. For months, artists have been working on installations at Franklin Square. Now they're ready for everyone to admire. You can check out the lantern festival nightly through June 11th.

Walk or run for a cause

A sea of pink will surround the Philadelphia Museum of Art Sunday. The Komen Race for the Cure features a family-friendly 5K run, walk and 1-mile fun walk. The event raises funds for breast cancer research, community grants, and educational and outreach initiatives.
