NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two men have been arrested for the attempted robbery and shooting of a pharmacy deliveryman earlier this month.

Charles Wardlaw, 43, and Robert Hartley, 42, were arrested for the July 10th incident.

The victim, a 41-year-old man, was making a delivery at the Wellness Pharmacy in the 2300 block of Ridge Avenue when he was approached by two suspects.

The deliveryman struggled with one of the suspects, knocking him to the ground. That suspect fired a shot, hitting the deliveryman in the hand.

Both suspects then fled without taking anything. The victim was recovering from his wound.

Police say they were led to Wardlaw and Hartley after finding surveillance video showing two vehicles following the deliveryman on his route.

One week later, one of the vehicles was spotted, pulled over and Wardlaw was taken into custody. From there, police say, they identified Hartley as the second suspect and arrested him on Friday.

Police say they also learned Hartley was the one who shot the victim.

Wardlaw and Hartley are charged with robbery, Aggravated Assault, and related offenses.
