Firefighters were called to the scene of a large fire at a horse farm in Swedesboro, New Jersey Saturday morning.

SWEDESBORO, N.J. (WPVI) -- Firefighters were called to the scene of a large fire at a horse farm in Swedesboro, New Jersey Saturday morning.

The fire broek around 6:00 a.m. to the Fertile Green Farms on the 900 block of Mullica Hill Road.

Flames quickly consumed one barn on the grounds and quickly spread to an adjoining barn.

Firefighters were hampered by a lack of hydrants in the area.

They called in tanker trucks of water which were filled up a the nearby Harrison Lake.

The blaze was placed under control within an hour.

One of the barns was used as a training ring and the other was used for storage of farm equipment.

Officials say no animals were injured.

Fertile Green Farms raises show horses and provides summer camps for children.
