Police say one of the suspects and victims have died after a triple shooting in West Philadelphia.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say one suspect and one victim died after a triple shooting in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 10:20 p.m. Thursday at Master and North Conestoga streets.

Police say two men had just gotten off a trolley and were heading home from work.

According to police, they were approached by two other men. One of the men had a gun and announced a robbery.

One of the victims also had a gun and fought back.

In the end, three of the people involved - two of the robbers and one robbery victim - were shot.

All three were taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.

There, one suspect and one victim later died.

The other suspect is in the hospital in stable condition.

Investigators say the victim who had the gun was not injured.

Police continue to investigate.
