2 hurt after Mercedes crashes into car in Camden, N.J.

CAMDEN, N.J. -- Two people were hurt after a Mercedes vehicle crashed into their car in Camden, New Jersey early Saturday morning.

The accident happened around midnight on Haddon Avenue just south of Copewood Street.

Firefighters had to cut the passenger in the car that was struck from the vehicle. They were taken to Cooper University Hospital in serious condition.

The driver was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes and was treated and released.

The other driver and several occupants in the Mercedes vehicle, fled the scene.

Police are investigating the crash.
