Police have identified the two men killed in the head-on crash in Newark, Delaware early Friday morning.

A University of Delaware student was one of two people killed in a head-on crash Friday in Newark.

Enoch J. Lee, 21, was a senior biological sciences major, the university said.

"Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Mr. Lee," Jos-Luis Riera, dean of students at UD, said in a statement. "Our entire community is saddened by this tragic accident."

The other person killed as identified as 21-year-old Shane T. Colby, who was driving an Audi involved in the wreck.

Lee was Colby's passenger.

The crash happened at Forge Road and Polly Drummond Hill Road at 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say Colby lost control of the Audi and slammed into a Chevy Suburban.

The driver of that Suburban, 48-year-old Mark A. DeSantis, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
