Police are investigating a shooting that left an unidentified man wounded in the leg in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a double shooting that left two men wounded in North Philadelphia.

The shooting occurred before 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the 300 block of East Somerset Street.

Investigators believe the incident was an attempted hold-up.

The first victim found was a 25-year-old male who was shot once in the left thigh.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

The second victim was a 21-year-old male suffering with wounds to his buttocks, back, right calf and left hand.

He was also taken to Temple Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the suspect fled eastbound on Somerset.
