Police say two people are dead after being struck by a vehicle in Northeast Philadelphia Saturday morning.

Police say two people are dead after being struck by a vehicle in Northeast Philadelphia Saturday morning.

The accident happened around 6:00 a.m. on the 7600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

Investigators say both victims ran into traffic and were struck by a 1998 Honda Accord traveling north.

According to police, an 80-year-old woman was one of the victims.

She was rushed to Aria Hospital-Torresdale and pronounced dead a short time later.

The other victim who was struck was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car stopped shortly after the accident.
