Victim shot, critically wounded in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man was shot in the back of the head early Wednesday in North Philadelphia.

Shots were heard on the 2700 block of North Dover Street at 12 a.m.

When police arrived they found a 40-year-old man lying on the sidewalk.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital in very critical condition.

Investigators are working to determine who shot the man and why.
