SOLEBURY TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Duane Schmoyer is heart-broken and traumatized: He spoke to Tom Meo the day he disappeared.

The 21-year-old Meo has been missing since July 7, one of four men who have vanished since last week.

Human remains were discovered on a sprawling farm in Solebury Township, authorities announced early Thursday, and the remains included the body of one those four men, 19-year-old Dean Finocchiaro.

Meo's fate remains unknown.

"He was happy when he left here and that's the last image I have of him, and it's the last image that'll stick in my head," said Schmoyer.

Schmoyer last talked with Meo on Friday when he stopped by the Doylestown gas station where they both work. He says Meo was upbeat and gave no hint that anything was wrong.

"He was on the right track. It's just sometimes people slip off, you know? They get into the hands of the bad people and just evil comes out of it," Schmoyer said.

Schmoyer would not elaborate about what he meant, but he described Cosmo DiNardo - a person of interest in this case being held on $5 million bail - this way:

"People knew of him. People knew he was crazy and stuff. No one could expect the worst like this," Schmoyer said.

It reads in part: Jimi attends Loyola on a full scholarship, and was awarded academic recognition on the dean's list

Perkasie, Pa. resident Kate Keo said, "I can't imagine the pain they are experiencing at this time. I can't. I'm a parent myself I can't even imagine it."

The manager of the Buckingham Wawa, Mark Derrickson, delivered dozens of hoagies to the workers at the dig site and spoke with some family members keeping vigil nearby.

"It's heart-wrenching, Derrickson said. "It's just really hard to imagine, having kids of my own that age."
