A UPS facility in South Philadelphia turned into a diaper distribution center Monday morning.

UPS teamed up with the non-profit group Cradles to Crayons to hand out 300,000 diapers to 275 human service agencies in the region.

Action News was there as volunteers and staff from both organizations loaded up cars.

Cradles to Crayons provides essential items for homeless or low-income children.

"Philadelphia has the highest rate of deep poverty in the nation and a family living only on $11,000 a year, $70-80 a month for a child for diapers which isn't covered by food stamps is a very expensive item," Cradles to Crayons Executive Director Michal Smith told Action News.
