1 dead, 1 critical after Wilmington crash

WILMINGTON -- One person was killed and another critically injured in an accident in Wilmington, Delaware.
It happened along the 500 block of South Market Street just before 12 p.m.
Police say an SUV slammed into the side of a box truck, leaving both the driver and the passenger trapped.
It took rescuers nearly 15 minutes to free them.
The driver died at the scene.
The passenger was flown to the hospital with severe injuries.
Market Street was closed for several hours while crews worked to clean up diesel fuel.
The accident is still under investigation.
