Crime Fighters: Mother pleads for help finding Overbrook Park man's killer

OVERBROOK PARK (WPVI) -- A man returning home from a haircut was gunned down in his own driveway. Now, his mother is coming to you for help.

Deborah Reddick says her son, Paul, was a good man.

"He was my rock, he was my best friend. My life will never be the same," said Deborah. "He was a good person. He was a father, a husband, a son. Did anything for anybody."

On Wednesday September 23, 2015, the 41-year-old was returning home from the barbershop.

He pulled into his driveway along the 7600 block of Sherwood Road in Philadelphia's Overbrook Park section at about 7:30 pm.

"When he left the barbershop and came home, somebody pulled up somebody ambushed him," Deborah said.

Paul was shot in the chest and died at the hospital.

"I think their plan was to rob... I think they tried to get Paul to let them in the house and he didn't and they shot him," said Deborah.

The City of Philadelphia is offering up to $20,000 in reward money for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.

"He was here one minute and gone the next - my whole life has been shattered, it's been shattered," said Deborah.

"I don't know how you think you can just take somebody's life and ruin the life of other people and just get away with it," she said.
