Man hit by SUV on Broad Street in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is in critical condition after he was hit by an SUV in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 12:45 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Broad and Susquehanna.

Police say a 38-year-old man was hit while crossing Broad Street in the middle of the block.

The impact shattered the front windshield of that SUV.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with a head injury and two broken legs.

The driver of the SUV stopped and is cooperating with police.
