Workers did some heavy lifting Tuesday, in the name of helping every child in Philadelphia learn to read

WYNNEFIELD HEIGHTS (WPVI) -- Workers did some heavy lifting Tuesday, in the name of helping every child in Philadelphia learn to read.

Books Across Philly was at the Salvation Army headquarters to distribute 14,000 new Disney books to more than 2 dozen community groups.

That's enough books to line 2 football fields.

Books Across Philly will have a city-wide literacy drive next Tuesday, the first day of classes for Philadelphia public schools.

Disney is the parent company of 6ABC.
