This seven-year-old has a few words for Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton after hearing his mocking remarks towards a female reporter.

The girl's father, Eric Emanuele, tells Mashable, "It was my idea. We are season ticket holders to the Eagles. I learned the game of football from my mother, not my father, so when people discount the female knowledge of the game it irks me a bit."

The video, posted to Twitter on Friday, has been retweeted more than 2,500 times.

The Carolina Panthers Quarterback received much backlash after making a sexist remark towards a female reporter during a Wednesday press conference. When Charlotte Observer reporter Jourdan Rodrigue asked Newton about wide receiver Devin Funchess' route running, Newton smiled and said, "it's funny to hear a female talk about routes. It's funny."

According to a team spokesman, Newton has since "expressed regret" for his response.
