Police say three people were injured in a fiery crash on Interstate-95 in Wilmington, Delaware early Thursday morning.

Three people were injured in a fiery crash on Interstate-95 in Wilmington, Delaware early Thursday morning.

Police say two vehicles collided just after 12:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Maryland Avenue.

One of the vehicles crashed into a concrete barrier and burst into flames.

A passenger in the back seat of that vehicle suffered cuts and burns, police say.

The driver and front-seat passenger were checked out for injuries.

Police say the driver of the second vehicle continued on for three miles before stopping.

No one was injured in that car.

The southbound lanes were blocked at the scene as police investigated, causing a miles-long backup.
