STANTON, Delaware (WPVI) -- Emergency crews rescued three people who were trapped by the swollen Red Clay Creek in Stanton, Delaware.
Around 10:00 p.m. Saturday people heard cries for help from a wooded area and called 911.
Arriving crews found three people, two men and a woman, clinging to trees above the flooded creek.
All three were rescued and taken to Christian Hospital for treatment.
They are expected to be okay.
The Red Clay Creek was just one of the waterways in the area that reached flood stage due to the heavy rains.
