NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Four men are being sought by police after a home invasion that left a man injured in North Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Friday along the 1900 block of West Diamond Street.

Police said a 25-year-old man was walking in the front door of his apartment when the suspects, two of them armed, came up behind him, pistol whipped him and robbed him of his jewelry and wallet, among other items, upon gaining entry.

The victim's roommate was in the shower during the incident, police said, and didn't know what transpired.

The victim told police he recognized two of his attackers and gave a detailed description of them.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 25-years-of-age, 6'4" tall, light complexion and thin build. He had light eyes with a tattoo under one eye. He was wearing a black jacket, black sweat-pants, white socks, and black Reebok pump sneakers. He also carried a silver revolver with black handle.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 27-years-of-age, 5'10" tall, dark complexion with mustache and goatee. He was missing top front teeth. He was wearing an olive jacket, jeans, and carried a small silver semi-automatic pistol.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

The home, divided into two apartments, is equipped with surveillance cameras. Police are trying to find out how much of the incident may have been captured on tape.
