Five firefighters were taken to the hospital after a flames erupted on Thursday in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Five firefighters were taken to the hospital after a flames erupted on Thursday in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The fire was reported at a neighborhood market in the 4400 block of Ventnor Avenue around 10 a.m.

The building also contains a residence above the store.

Of the five firefighters, four were suffering from heat exhaustion. One suffered a cut to the hand.

All have since been treated and released.
