Authorities say five people were injured in a chain reaction crash involving a school bus and another vehicle in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Authorities say five people were injured in a chain reaction crash involving a school bus and another vehicle in Wilmington.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at 7th and North Washington streets.

Initial reports indicate that a Christiana School District school bus broadsided a Nissan.

The impact of the collision caused the Nissan to strike two pedestrians who were on the sidewalk.

Three people from the Nissan along with the two pedestrians were taken to Christiana Care Hospital for treatment. No word on their conditions.

The accident is under investigation by Wilmington Police.
