Amber Alert cancelled after 2 boys found safe. Chad Pradelli reports during Action News at 6 p.m. on April 22.

The Delaware State Police has cancelled an Amber Alert at the request of the Wilmington Police Department after two boys who were reported missing were found safe Saturday morning.

Zion Coverdale-Dixon and Jihad Bailey were last seen Wednesday morning with their babysitter Michelle Rogers at their home on the 500 block of Shearman.

On Friday night, relatives of the boys reported them missing, launching an Amber Alert and a search.

The family began posting flyers and Police say it wasn't long before they received valuable information.

Captain Bill Browne of the Wilmington Police said, "At some point the babysitter made a phone call to the family. We got the number and it came back to a Royal Farms in Elkton, Maryland. At that point our officers went to Elkton and started searching for them."

Investigators found the boys not far from the Royal Farms at a Burger King.

"The kids were taken to A.I. DuPont Hospital. They are in good shape. They are tired and hungry but otherwise unharmed," said Captain Browne.

As word spread that the boys had been found safe, relatives and friends began arriving at Wilmington Police. They declined comment.

Investigators continue to interview Rogers.

So far, she hasn't been charged with a crime.

"We are not really sure why she had gone there with the kids. She is still being evaluated and interviewed. We are not sure how we are going to proceed with her," said Captain Browne.

Police say they are concerned it took the family three days to report the boys missing.

So far, they haven't received an answer.
