Officials say an ambulance responding to a shooting crashed into a car in South Philadelphia late Friday night.

Officials say an ambulance responding to a shooting, crashed into a car in South Philadelphia late Friday night.

It happened just before 11:30 p.m. when their vehicle slammed into a Honda Civic at 13th and Catherine Streets.

The driver of the car was hurt. He was taken to Jefferson Hospital with neck and back pains and is expected to be released.

No word yet on who was at fault for the accident.

Police say the ambulance was heading to the scene where a 30-year-old man had been shot and killed before they crashed.

The victim of the shooting was taken by another ambulance to Jefferson Hospital and pronounced dead.

There is no word yet on any suspects or a motive.

Police are investigating both incidents.
