CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- An ambulance responding to a crash on I-95 in Chester, Delaware County was struck by a car, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Police tell Action News a driver crashed into a guard rail around 6 a.m. Sunday on I-95 near the Edgemont Avenue exit.

An ambulance from Chester City responding to the accident was then hit by another vehicle traveling southbound.

At least one person was taken to the hospital from the scene. It is not known if the injured person was involved in the original crash or the one involving the ambulance.

I-95 South was shut down for a period time as police investigated.
