Action News has confirmed investigators questioned the aunt of 3-year-old Brendan Creato, the boy found dead last month in Haddon Township, New Jersey.

HADDON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Action News has confirmed investigators questioned the aunt of 3-year-old Brendan Creato, the boy found dead last month in Haddon Township, New Jersey.

The lawyer for Sarah Jessica Creato says his client has not become the focus of the investigation.

"My client wants answers more than anybody," said attorney William Brennan.

About a year ago, she made a video as a school project. It was a movie trailer based on a novel that deals with the disappearance of a toddler, and the later discovery of his body.

In the video, Creato used Brendan to portray the missing toddler. Now that fictional scenario has tragically become reality.

"It's an uncanny coincidence, it's salacious because of that, but it's a red herring, it's a diversion - it brings nothing to the table to find out what happened," said Brennan.

Brennan says investigators in cases like this always question the people closest to the victim, adding Sarah has nothing to hide.

Her brother, D.J. Creato, is Brendan's father and the last to see him alive.

Brendan disappeared from his father's apartment the morning of October 13th and was later found dead in a wooded area about a half mile away.

Brennan says with an inconclusive autopsy and a negative toxicology report, it's beginning to look like Brendan may have wandered away from home on his own and died of exposure.

"It appears that this is just a terrible, tragic, accidental death," said Brennan.

Detectives continue their investigation and there is no new information from the Camden County prosecutor's office.
