Body of missing swimmer recovered in Berks County

ROBESON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Rescue crews have recovered the body of a swimmer who went missing Friday in Berks County.

Witnesses say the 20-year-old man dove into the Birdsboro Quarry in Robeson Township and never came back up.

Divers recovered his body Saturday morning 40 feet below the surface of the water.

There has been no word what led up to the incident.

Authorities continue to investigate.
