Body pulled from Delaware River in Tacony

TACONY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating the discovery of a body in the Delaware River in the city's Tacony section.

Authorities were called around 10:30 a.m. to the river in the area of the 6300 block of Tacony Street.

There officials say an unidentified black male was recovered from the river by a Philadelphia Police Marine Unit.

The victim is said to be approximately 30 to 40 years of age, but no other details pertaining to his identity have been released.

Police are investigating.
